Tuesday = Work, Simple!

Since before Christmas my wonderful mum and sister, Gillian, have been looking after my youngest girl while the other 3 are at school, so I can have at least one full day to work on orders and new ideas.
Easy you would think but when you have 4 children, easy is never simple! Long story short, after a trip to A&E at 1am my 3rd child, 2nd boy, Hen. was home from school today with an throat infection. He has been good and even let me watch a little of my T.V while I was cutting fabric.

So what have I been working on today?  I hear you ask...
Well I have been working on a custom order for a Memory Quilt. I love working on these and thinking about all the special memories the clothes must hold. I know I have bags and bags of my children's clothes, (and some of my nieces clothes) just waiting to have the scissors taken to them!

So here it is

I had all the clothes cut and ready so I just needed to figure out the layout, and out of the 5/6 I've done I think I like this layout the best.

Hello and welcome!!

Hello and welcome to my little scrap of heaven. I am a quilter and love trying new sewing techniques.

I am a mother of 4 wonderful children, 2 boys and 2 girls, so most of my sewing was for them until I started my facebook page www.facebook.com/sewdelight. I have made so many quilts now that I have lost count and I am amazed that people do actually want to buy from me!

With this blog I will showcase some of my quilts and other makes and I hopefully will be doing some tutorials as well.

Ok, I think I will start off by showing you a baby quilt that I have made this weekend, it's for my SIL, who is now over due her second baby, and hopefully if the scan was right, it will be a girl!
She saw a rag quilt I did for my 4th and asked if I could make her one for the moses basket and this is what I came up with.

I hope you like it, I love rag quilts, they are so easy to make but look so comfy and warm! This is one that I am planning a tutorial for, so if you would like to make one please stop by again. xx
